Russian oligarchs bought a building in London for £100 million

Russian oligarchs via company LetterOne bought a building in London.

Russian money

LetterOne a London-based firm established by a consortium of Russian billionaires who have faced Western sanctions, has finalized the purchase of a Mayfair building for more than £100 million. Sources familiar with the transaction reported it.

The acquisition involves 20 Grafton Street, a property spanning 17,000 square feet and comprising both office and retail space. This marks one of the largest deals undertaken by LetterOne since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia in 2022.

Previously owned by German national Wilhelm von Finck, the property transitioned ownership to LetterOne. While Finck’s family office did not immediately respond to inquiries, the deal signifies LetterOne’s strategic moves amidst challenges posed by sanctions and geopolitical tensions.
